Brattleboro Turkey Trot
Jacob Ellis, 18, of Brattleboro, and Heather Conarroe, 23, of Davidson, N.C., were the men's and women's overall winners at the 2011 Brattleboro Turkey Trot 3-miler. Ellis edged Frankie Adkins, 38, of Asheville, N.C., finishing in 16 minutes, 7 seconds -- just 1 second ahead of Adkins. Kyle Jones, 27, of Brattleboro was third in 16:19.
Conarroe placed first in the women's division for the second straight year, with her time of 19:04 giving her a 14-second margin over Kirsten Beaudry, 20, of Walpole, N.H. Simonetta Piergentili, 47, of Wilmington, Mass., was close behind in third (19:32).
